We’re excited to begin our 2nd year of West Philly Bizarre at Clark Park!

It is important to us to serve and support the mix of vendors, artists, makers, and culture-creators that have been vending in Clark Park for the last several years. They are the market and why West Philly Bizarre was created. Some of the ways we run the Bizarre will reflect that part of our mission.

This Bizarre Handbook establishes the ways the market and vendors operate. It includes information about vendor spaces, un/loading, cleanup, weather, and more. We must take pride in and care for our spaces, vendors, and Clark Park.

We also thanks our partners that are invested in our cultivation and development. They include Parks & Rec, CultureTrust, Friends of Clark Park RCO, the Food Trust Farmers Market, One Africa! One Nation! Uhuru Flea Market, and our funding partners.

ABOUT US

West Philly Bizarre of CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia is a fiscally sponsored 501c3 non-profit located in Philadelphia.

West Philly Bizarre at Clark Park is located in Clark Park, on the South side of Chester Ave, at 4300 Chester Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143

Terms

We use several terms used to describe people, places, and things in this Handbook.

• “We”, “WPB”, “Us” = West Philly Bizarre
• “You”, “pass holders”, “members”, “vendors” = Vendors and Vendor Members
• “The Bizarre”, “the market” = West Philly Bizarre’s market at Clark Park
• “Members”, “WPB Members” = People who have a West Philly Bizarre membership

Food and beverages are not permitted, even pre-packaged items like chips or bottled water. We will lose our City permit!

Individuals who decide to vend outside of West Philly Bizarre will be vending at their own risk. We cannot protect these vendors against authorities (Parks & Rec, police, L&I, etc.) and cannot take responsibility for their vending and actions.

You can also sign up with the Food Trust Farmers Market or UHURU if you want to vend on dates that are not on our schedule, or if you want to sell food and beverages.

Calendar

The Bizarre at Clark Park operates from April through November on days which we have permits. There are no rain dates. These dates are subject to change.

• There are other events in Clark Park on the days we do not have permits. Some of them, like UHURU, accepts vendors. Click the triangle to the left to see more.
